Like most animators, I grew up surrounded by pop culture, digesting comic books, movies and early videogames on my Atari 2600. Always the artist, I decided to enroll in Classical Animation (that funny paper kind Disney used to do) at Sheridan College in my native Canada.

At college our breaks from the animation disc usually consisted of Street Fighter in the arcade or Golden Eye 64 in a nearby lecture hall. Knowing games were a background passion, I furthered my studies at Sheridan in their Computer Animation program – looking to grow characterization and character performance in games as the tech advances.

After school I moved to SLC to work for a small 3rd party game developer and worked on a wrestling game and a Pixar property. When that studio closed their doors an opportunity arose at Bungie to contribute to Halo 2 – why not, I was already addicted to Halo 1 gameplay during my time laid off. During my tenure at Bungie on Halo 2 and Halo 3, my wife and I welcomed two wonderful children. I live for my kids.

As a new father, I wanted to move my career forward and joined 343i, Microsoft’s internal Halo team to push the Halo franchise forward in exciting new ways.

Having accomplished Halo and all it has to offer, I am now starting a new adventure in my career, excited to see what is out there and what games I can help make legendary and fun.
